Back To School Pop Up Plans!
Hello hello!! This is longggg overdue but I am finally sharing all my detailed plans for back to school. Is it too late to do a pre-sale? Maybe. But a pop up? NO! It's not too late. I saw someone post on a cookie Facebook group asking if back to school was profitable - and it got me thinking about those who haven't even tried out the back to school pre-sale/pop up. Let me tell you... from my experience and from the experience of my cookie friends.. don't miss this holiday. It was my fastest selling pop up of all time. Yes, there are a lot of back to school expenses, but mom's want to be "that mom" now. Myself included. We want to send our kids with a lunchtime treat, we want to give them a "first day happy", we want to give a gifty gift to the teacher too! So most of us will budget in a cookie or 3 for back to school! (And that's per kid).
So you still have time. You have time to order cutters, (physical or STL files), poly bags, bows, amazon packaging, all the things! So let's get on wif it (my best British accent)!
Fancy Packaging
Goldfish in Fishbowls
This is Cory's picture! This fishbowl is from Target dollarspot so I don't have a link but if you can find them in store, there's two in a pack for $3. There is a larger one for $3 but these are the minis. I'll be using the 2.5" goldfish cutter, blue shred (mine isn't shiny like his, mine is more matte blue), stretch loops, and the tag shown! (tags are sold out - but I do have digital downloads available on Cut It Out Cutters Patreon.
Lowe's Buckets
I had leftover Lowe's buckets from Father's day so.. Tools for Success lol. I'll make a tag this week! The buckets are small so I'm only doing two in each from the tools for success set - the paint brush and palette in a 5"
Target Baskets
These were a HIT for teacher appreciation! The only catch is finding the baskets. I currently need to grab a few more (fingers crossed) before my pop up. They're in the party section at target and they're $3 each. I'm adding a 4" Notebook Appleand a 3.5" shopping pup in each basket with white tissue paper!
Clipboards
The finished one is Cory's picture also! He used Michael's ribbon and printed with an eddie on to the cookie. I flooded white, used wilton red and blue markers for the lines and piped words in red! I'll package them the same with ribbon and double sided tape to make it secure! The clipboards are 4"x6" and are from amazon! The cutter is listed as Clipboard Paper.
Pennant Flags
These were also a huge hit for teacher appreciation. I used the 3.5" pennant flag on unsharpened pencils (I have a reel on Instagram on how I packaged this) with ribbon attached. If you go to the listing for this cutter, I have several other sayings you can see how I piped the wording on the shape.
Mini Sets
Back to School Minis
I'm putting the back to school minis in a 2.5" in a uline box (5.25"x5.25"), with a backer, stretch loop and tag.
Teacher Essential Minis
I'm putting the teacher essential minis in a 2.5" in a uline box (5.25"x5.25"), with a backer, stretch loop and tag.
Singles
Most of these will be packaged in a bag with a bow and a tag!
Flying Paper Airplane 4"
Sliced Apple 4"
Geeky Apple 3.5"
Happy First Day! Fancy Text 4"
Backpack 4"
Triple Book Stack 4"
Stanley 5"
Pencil Bow 2 4"
Cookie Cakes
I'm doing 48 of these bad boys! I usually only to 24-25 and they always sell out. So if they don't, Aiden's daycare teachers get cookie cakes! And that's the beauty of BTS/Teacher Appreciation for me. I will always do more than I think I should because if I have leftovers, they'll go to the school and daycare! So win win.
On these in the middle, half will have the 2" apple and half will have the 2" A+.I have ordered sprinkles from delta sprinkles. Here's a picture from last year. These did so well.
